In 1996, the Academy of American Poets established National Poetry Month to promote the love of American Poetry.
As part of that celebration, the Friends of Ferndale Library invite local poets, community members and students to share their love of poetry every April.
The Friends of the Ferndale Library are dedicated to supporting the Ferndale Public Library and their mission to 'bring the joy of reading and the world of ideas to every resident in an open and enriching environment'.
